Intergraph Corporation and TerraGo Technologies jointly developed software called MAP2PDF for Intergraph product lines: GeoMedia and Digital Cartographic Studio (DCS).

MAP2PDF will export geospatial data from GeoMedia or DCS to a georegistered portable mapping format known as a GeoPDF file with layers and feature attributes. Yes! It embeds geospatially referenced data for map coordinate readouts, distances and bearing information in an easy to understand PDF format!

This GeoPDF can be easily used and distributed (in connected or disconnected modes) with Adobe Reader software and TerraGo's GeoPDFToolbar (free Plug-in for Adobe Reader). Users are able to view maps, turn layers on and off, query attributes, display coordinates, GPS track and create redlines and notes. Redlines and comments can be exported to an ESRI shapefile for incorporation back into a geospatial data repository.

Files are enabled for collaboration with Map2PDF for Acrobat (another piece of software of TerraGo's product lines) to make changes that can be shared with others or imported back into the GIS application.
